Title: "Winter's Rest"
Artist: "Myeong" seal
Dimensions: Image size 190x150mm
Cost: £675.00
Description: This oil painting on ceramic artwork is sophisticated and more labour-intensive than standard prints or glazes, increasing desirability. While the "Myeong" seal confirms a Korean origin, this specific format—hand-painted ceramic tiles inlaid into an American red alder frame—was a popular high-end export item from South Korean art studios during the late 20th century (c. 1970s–1990s). It marks it as a premium art gallery and specifically uses it for their premium collections, linking it to the West Coast of the United States of America. While a specific street address for a "Myeong Kiln" is not publicly listed, the "Myeong" seal combined with the Icheon and Yeoju regions points to a specific type of high-end artistic production from the late 20th century. In these "pottery capitals", many master artists operate small, private studios, many of which specialise in traditional, hand-painted, high-quality landscapes on porcelain by craftsmanship. The identification name of the artist is normally found at the rear of the tile, in pencil marks or a small paper slip (often tucked between the tile and the backing).

Cost: £3,500.00

Title: "The Musician"
Artist: Attributed to Richard Westall RA (1765–1836)
Dimensions: Image size 25.1cm x 21.4cm
Cost: £1,850.00
Description: A romantic, museum-quality 19th-century masterpiece This exceptional oil painting on metal panel, attributed to the renowned Royal Academician Richard Westall RA (1765–1836), powerfully captures a poignant scene from Celtic lore: the blind bard Ossian and Malvina. Westall’s composition brilliantly fuses a classical literary subject with a dark, secluded, rocky shoreline setting, creating a melancholic atmosphere characteristic of his finest Romantic-era works. The slightly haggard, robed figure of the seated, bearded man playing his harp is a recurring motif in Westall's celebrated oeuvre, beautifully offset by the gentle, attentive posture of the young woman beside him. This exquisite cabinet-sized painting bears a scratched-in historic inventory inscription 'HL/223' verso and is housed in a heavily detailed, decorative period gilt composition frame that elevates its historic aesthetic appeal.
